Privacy Policy

Meraydin: Merge Cargo ("the app") is made by Ilya Pavlov, an independent developer. This page says what the app stores on your device, what it sends to our server, why, and how to get it removed. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
- No account, no email, no password. The app makes up an anonymous identifier and a display name for you.
- We store your runs: the day's cargo seed, where you dropped each piece, which Broker deals you picked, and your score. That is what a leaderboard entry is.
- No ads, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- Delete the app and the local data is gone. Email us and the server data is gone too.
On your device
The app keeps your settings, your local best scores, and a random identifier it generated on first launch. Nothing on the device is read except what the app wrote itself. If you reinstall the app, a new identifier is generated and the old anonymous player is not linked to the new one.
On our server
When you play with a network connection, the app sends the following to api.meraydin.com:
- An anonymous player identifier, generated by the app. It is not derived from your device, your Apple ID, or any advertising identifier.
- A display name, which you type when you first open the app and can change at any time in settings. It is shown on the rankings to everyone. It is 2 to 8 letters or digits, checked against a blocklist, and it is the only thing you type into this app. If you do not choose one, the server picks a name for you.
- Your games: the date and seed of the cargo, the position and timing of every drop, the Broker deals you chose, the final score, and how long the game lasted. The server uses it to check that the score is one the game could really produce.
- Which platform and app version you are on, and the dates on which you opened the app. We use this to count how many people play each day and to find bugs in a particular version.
The server sits behind Cloudflare, Inc., which routes traffic to it and, as any network provider does, sees your IP address while doing so. We do not store IP addresses with your player data.
What we do not collect
Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or anything typed into other apps. The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not sell or share player data with anyone.
Why we keep it
To run the daily rankings, to verify that every score on them was actually played, to fix bugs, and to look at aggregate numbers such as how many games were played on a given day or which deals get picked most. Runs stay on the server for as long as the rankings exist, because a leaderboard whose history is deleted stops being one.
Children
The app is a puzzle game for everyone and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. It has no chat, no user-typed content, and no purchases that involve a third party.
Deleting your data
Settings has a Delete my data button. It erases your anonymous player, every run you submitted and your launch history from the server straight away, and drops you off every leaderboard. It cannot be undone, and the app then treats the device as new.
Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device, but not what is already on the server, so use the button first if you want both gone. If you have already deleted the app, email [email protected] with the display name shown on your rankings row and we will remove it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Changes
If the app ever adds a feature that changes what it collects, for instance signing in with Game Center to see friends, this page will be updated before that feature ships, and the date at the top will change.
